This video will show how I replace the battery in my Apple iPhone 7. If your battery is lasting less than 2 or 3 hours, or maybe it gets to 30 percent and just shuts off randomly, it might be time for a new battery. Sometimes disconnecting the battery will get rid of any software errors like it did with the 1-1-1990 glitch:

Remember all repairs are done at your own risk. The repair itself is not that difficult if you have worked with tools before. And you are careful removing that screen.

  2. I was planning on replacing mine myself but after watching this video i cant help but see a dozen ways to mess it up considering all of the glue inside this phone. Best leave it to the people with experience and pay a bit extra. Having a lot of experience with diy myself, i’ve learned that you should know what you can fix and what you can mess up trying.

  6. Just tried this. Instructions unclear… I punctured the old battery sparking battery acid everywhere, while in the process breaking the top cable for camera and earpiece, and the home button cable… Rip…

  7. Had a horrible experience today with a guy at a shop. Took my daughters dead iPhone 7 to get a battery replacement and during the process we heard him drop a phone, he said it was his phone that dropped when I asked after he did the replacement..when my daughter got her phone back we noticed it a had a crack & red lines coming downward & the screen was perfectly fine before it died & we gave it to him, the screen protector was roughed up only. we have never tried to peel it off. It’s been on her phone for the past 5 months. Where the crack suddenly appeared it seemed like he lifted that corner part up & messed the pixels up..it was the only area that looked messed with.. funny cuz before he gave me my daughter phone he asked if we needed a replacement on screen & I said “no no not today”. He definitely seemed sketchy. while he was fixing her phone another customer walked in for his phone & he said “something else is wrong with your phone I tried everything it may be another issue” ….with my daughters phone he said the same thing “ma’am I only fixed the battery the screen is another issue I can charge u half price 30”!🙄 I’ve been charged 35 other places so that’s not half price ! Anyways he took her screen off and then replaced her black phone with a white screen and said he did that because the pixels on her original screen were worse when he tried putting it back on.. I def shouldn’t be charged for him placing that new screen because he took off her screen without even telling us when he took it back to his work station..He expects us to go back the next day to get the black screen but I’m not paying. I kindly asked him if we could see his store camera video footage so I can see if he dropped her phone & why she has a messed up screen now… he said the camera I pointed to didn’t show his work station and I said “well u have 5 more cameras in here that one points to ur area “ He got a bit defensive and said “ARE U GOING TO PAY ME BY THE HOUR?!” 😳👀
