Review sound of metal
I feel 2020 is the worst year for film
Love the shirt!
Just remember this is the guy who gave the atrocious Run an A-……..
Just let that sink in
Let's hope this bad year for movoes turns into a good years for Fincher in the Oscars. He probably deserves it more for his previous works, but that's how the Academy works, not giving people usually what they deserve when they deserve it…
It was a beautiful movie, but it was boring. This movie should make you interested in Citizen Kane. Instead, you had to have pre-knowledge of Citizen Kane to get anything out of it. If Hearst and Orson Welles are the antagonists, they should be in the movie more than 15 minutes combined.
Chris, thanks again. Will give this a miss. By the wat, please review Fincher's web/tv series "Mindhunter". It is also on netflix.
I disagree with your comparison of Tenet and Mank. Mank is the better film – on all levels (except one). I found Tenet to be interesting and didn't find it breathtaking. It contains parts that are unintentionally laugh-out-loud and, well, it was surprisingly ugly. As an aside, I couldn't see any of it's enormous budget on screen. All that typed, the one thing I found Tenet to be better at was engaging and sustaining my interest. While watching it, I found it more entertaining. Afterwards, I'd much consider and break down Mank. It's an interesting situation.
I came out of this feeling more or less the same. The subject matter was a little more dense than I expected so my focus definitely drifted in parts, but it really does look and sound lovely
Have you seen the movie druk With
Mads Mikkelsen?
Hardly a glowing review
I feel like there is more within this movie to explore and identify when it comes to the plot and the dialogue.
Just like with Citizen Kane when I felt that I needed to watch it three times to full grasp the movie for example:
First time watching
Great movie!
Second time watching
I'm seeing more things now maybe it's not as good as people say.
Third time watching
No it's a fucking excellent movie!
9/10
1:38 ahahahahahahaha
FYI: Oscar for sound editing and sound mixing are now one award again.
Mank is dank.
The best David Fincher movie is Alien3 forever and ever… And also have Charles Dance who have been nominated for Oscar. Mank have C+ from me
DUDE YOU SHOULD REVIEW SOUND OF METAL
so who's been first?
youtubers making a video about other youtubers making a video?
or
filmmakers making a movie about other filmmakers making a movie?
Thanks for your honesty! That s why i am still here after all those years. Cheers from France 😊
Can't believe he didn't talk about the amazing dialogue in the movie???
Love Gary Oldman. Love some of David Fincher's movies but this just looks boring af.
Three of the most boring movies ever made: Citizen Kane, Mank and Social Network.

Mank: "We shot the film in 8K to degrade it to look like a movie from the 30s"
The Lighthouse: "Hold my Lobster"
